6 Years Old

Qualities: Loves basketball, comics and birthday cake

Meet Jarrell …

Jarrell loves trying to jump ramps with his bike like his older brothers. He also enjoys playing Basketball, and playing with his fish “Nemo.” Jarrell is also a Marvel and DC Comic fan, and his favorite super heroes are Batman, Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk! Jarrell’s favorite foods are waffles, hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream and let’s not forget the most important … birthday cake.

Jarrell is described as charming, funny, playful and energetic! Jarrell is fascinated with sports and cannot wait until he is old enough to participate in his favorite pastime. On occasions, Jarrell becomes upset when things don’t go his way, but his foster parents report that he’s generally a easy going youngster who’s sweet and caring. Jarrell’s criterion for a family is “a mommy and a daddy who is fun and nice?” Can you fill his request?

For those who submit an Inquiry Form expressing an interest in adopting a child listed in the Heart Gallery of Illinois, your form is submitted to the Adoption Inquiry Unit of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.  It is DCFS’s responsibility to get in touch with you as the next step if there is a match.  Let It Be Us is not a licensing agency or a child placing agency. Our function in the adoption process is to recruit foster and adoptive parents for the Illinois children who are waiting.

The first step in adoption from foster care is to obtain a foster care license. Visit our licensing map to find a licensing agency or an Illinois DCFS licensing office near your home.

Attend a Let It Be Us Finding Forever Families adoptive parent and foster parent recruitment event.  Learn more here.
