Precious

15 Years Old

Qualities: Likable, Friendly, Active

Meet Precious…

Precious is a very likable and friendly young lady. She enjoys staying active and participating in various extracurricular activities such as playing basketball and running track. Precious also enjoys listening to music and playing on her tablet.

What Others Say about Precious…

Precious can have difficulty dealing with her emotions and often shuts down when things don’t go her way. At times, Precious can struggle with being told “NO” by those in authority over her, however, she can be easily redirected.

What You Can Do For Precious…

Precious would do best with a family that is firm but caring. She tents to live in the moment, so having someone that is understanding and encouraging is very important. It is also important that an adoptive family for Precious respect the relationship that she has with her Grandmother and siblings and let her keep in contact with them as they are very important people in her life. Precious states that she would really love a two-parent family because she has always wanted a mom and a dad.

For those who submit an Inquiry Form expressing an interest in adopting a child listed in the Heart Gallery of Illinois, your form is submitted to the Adoption Inquiry Unit of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.  It is DCFS’s responsibility to get in touch with you as the next step if there is a match.  Let It Be Us is not a licensing agency or a child placing agency. Our function in the adoption process is to recruit foster and adoptive parents for the Illinois children who are waiting.

The first step in adoption from foster care is to obtain a foster care license. Visit our licensing map to find a licensing agency or an Illinois DCFS licensing office near your home.

Attend a Let It Be Us Finding Forever Families adoptive parent and foster parent recruitment event.  Learn more here.
